Time to step back, carefully, from what has gone before. To peel off the skin of the past. To tread barefoot in textured layers of confusion, unsteadily. Feeling the threads unravel. And then something happens. Almost imperceptibly, like the buds of snowdrops bursting from the ground on a January morning. A thin shard of light. A blue note, a sudden calling. Something new, something stirring.

Time to move on.
